உடல் தானம் - ஜிப்மர் கடந்து வந்த பாதை ...

புதுச்சேரி, ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையில் மூளைச்சாவு ஏற்பட்ட நோயாளிகளிடமிருந்து உடல் உறுப்புக்களை தானமாக பெற்று செய்யப்படும் உறுப்பு மாற்று அறுவைசிகிச்சையின் இரண்டாமாண்டு நிறைவு தினம் மற்றும் உறுப்பு தானம் வழங்கிய கொடையாளிகளின் குடும்பத்தினருக்கு பாராட்டு வழங்கும் நிகழ்ச்சி.

ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனை சாதாரண மக்களுக்கும் உறுப்பு மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சையினை மிக எளிதாகவும் சுலபமாக பெறக்கூடிய வகையில் வழங்கி வருகிறது. தற்போது ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையில் கண் கருவிழி, சிறுநீரகங்கள் மற்றும் எலும்பு மஜ்ஜை ஆகிய உறுப்புக்களை மாற்றும் அறுவை சிகிச்சை
செய்யப்பட்டு வருகிறது. விரைவில் கல்லீரல் மற்றும் ஏனைய பல்வகையான உறுப்பு மாற்று அறுவைச்சிகிச்சை தொடங்கப்படவுள்ளது.

புதுவையில் முதல்முறையாக ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையில் மூளைச்சாவு ஏற்பட்ட  நோயாளிகளிடமிருந்து உடல் உறுப்புக்களை தானமாக பெற்று உறுப்பு மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை தொடங்கப்பட்டது. 2013ம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 5ம் தேதி அன்று முதன்முதலாக மூளைச்சாவு ஏற்பட்ட நோயாளிகளிடமிருந்து உடல் உறுப்புக்களை தானமாக பெற்று உறுப்பு மாற்று அறுவை வெற்றிகரமாக செய்யப்பட்டது. அது முதல் தற்போது வரை ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையில் 19 குடும்பத்தினர்கள் தாமகவே முன்வந்து மூளைச்சாவு ஏற்பட்ட அவர்களது உறவினரிடமிருந்து உடல் உறுப்புக்களை தானமாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ள விருப்பம் தெரிவித்தனர். இதன் மூலம்  நிரந்தர சிறுநீரக செயலிழப்பு நோயினால் அவதியுற்ற 38  நோயாளிகள் சிறுநீரகங்களையும் , கண்பார்வையற்று அவதியுற்ற  பார்வையிழந்தோர் 38 பேர் கருவிழிகளையும் தானமாக பெற்றனர். 2015ம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி முதல் நவம்பர் மாதம் முடிய ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையில் 10 மூளைச்சாவு ஏற்பட்ட நோயாளிகளிடமிருந்து உடல் உறுப்புக்களும், திசுக்களும்  தானமாக பெறப்பட்டது.  மூளைச்சாவு
ஏற்பட்ட நோயாளிகளிடமிருந்து உடல் உறுப்புக்களை தானமாக பெற்று செய்யப்படும் உறுப்பு மாற்று அறுவைசிகிச்சையின் இரண்டாமாண்டு நிறைவினை குறிக்கும் விதமாகவும், உறுப்புக்களை தானமாக தருவதற்கு முன்வந்த குடும்பத்தினர்களை கௌரவிக்கும் விதமாகவும், இவ்வகை உறுப்பு மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை குழுவினரை ஊக்குவிக்கும் விதமாகவும் இந்த நிகழ்ச்சி ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையில் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்த உறுப்பு மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சையானது ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையில் முற்றிலும் இலவசமாக செய்யப்படுகிறது. தற்போது சிறுநீரக மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சைக்காக 40 நோயாளிகளும்,  கருவிழி மாற்று அறுவை 17 நோயாளிகளும், எலும்பு மஜ்ஜை மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சைக்காக 10 நோயளிகளும் காத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

இணையதளத்தின் மூலமாக இறந்த பிறகு உடல் உறுப்புக்களை தானமாக தருவதற்கு உறுதிமொழி வழங்கி “கொடையாளிக்கான அடையாள அட்டையினை” பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும் வசதியினை ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனை 2015 மார்ச் மாதம் முதல் வழங்கி வருகிறது. இதுவரை 40 நபர்கள் தங்களது உடல் உறுப்புக்களை தானமாக தருகிறேன் என உறுதிமொழி தந்து அதற்கான அடையாள அட்டையினை பெற்றுள்ளார்கள். மேலும் ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையானது புதுவை அரசு மருத்துவமனை, புதுவை பிம்ஸ் மருத்துவமனை மற்றும் தமிழக உறுப்பு மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை ஆணையத்துடன் (TRANSTAN) இணைந்து செயல்பட்டு பெறப்படும் உறுப்புக்களை தங்களுக்குள் பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறது. மூளைச்சாவு ஏற்பட்ட ஒரு
நோயாளியிடமிருந்து ஜிப்மரில் அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்து  கல்லீரலை தானமாக பெற்று மதுரையில் ஒரு நோயாளிக்கு பொருத்தப்பட்டது இதய வால்வுகள் சென்னைக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டது.

மேலும் புதுவை பிம்ஸ் மருத்துவமனையில் ஒரு மூளைச்சாவு ஏற்பட்ட நோயாளியிடமிருந்து உடல் உறுப்பு (சிறுநீரகம்) தானமாக பெற்று வழங்கப்பட்டு ஜிப்மரில் மருத்துவமனையில்   நிரந்தர சிறுநீரக செயலிழப்பு நோயாளி ஒருவருக்கு பொருத்தப்பட்டது. மூளைச்சாவு ஏற்பட்ட நோயாளிகளிடமிருந்து உடல் உறுப்புக்களை தானமாக பெற்று செய்யப்படும்

ஜிப்மரில் உறுப்பு மாற்று அறுவையின் தற்போதைய புள்ளி விவரம்
கருவிழி மாற்று அறுவைச்சிகிச்சை:
ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையில் கண்வங்கி செயல்படுகிறது. இங்கு கருவிழி மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சையானது 1997ம் ஆண்டு முதல் செய்யப்படுகிறது. இதுவரையில் 510 கருவிழி மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை நடந்துள்ளது. கடைசி இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளில் மட்டும் 74 கருவிழி மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

சிறுநீரக மாற்று அறுவை:
ஜிப்மரில் மார்ச் 2012 ம் ஆண்டு முதல் சிறுநீரக மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்யப்படுகிறது. இதுவரையில் 77 சிறுநீரங்கள் தானமாக பெறப்பட்டு சிறுநீரக நோயாளிகளுக்கு மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை  மூலம் சிறுநீரகம் பொருத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

எலும்பு மஜ்ஜை மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை :

ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையில் எலும்பு மஜ்ஜை மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை 2014 ல் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

புதுவையில் நமது ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையில் மட்டுமே எலும்பு மஜ்ஜை மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்யப்படுகிறது மேலும் தமிழகம் மற்றும் புதுவையில் எலும்பு மஜ்ஜை மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்யப்படும் ஒரே அரசு சார்பு நிறுவனமும் இதுவே என்பது குறிப்பிட்த்தக்கது. இங்கு முதலமைச்சரின் விரிவான காப்பீட்டு திட்டத்தின் கீழ் இலவசமாக செய்யப்படுகிறது. தற்போது வரை ஜிப்பரில் எலும்பு மஜ்ஜை மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை: ஆட்டோலோகஸ் எலும்பு மஜ்ஜை மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சை: 36

உடல் தானம் - ஜிப்மர் மருத்துவமனையின் ஈராண்டு சாதனை

Second anniversary of Deceased (Cadaver) Donor transplantation program and

felicitation of families of organ donors at JIPMER, Puducherry

                   Making organ transplantation accessible and affordable to the common man has been

a priority for JIPMER.  At present JIPMER is performing transplantation of Eyes, Kidneys

and bone marrow. JIPMER is the process of establishing a liver transplantation program and

a multi-organ transplantation program in the near future.

                  JIPMER has pioneered deceased donor transplantation in Puducherry and was the first

institution to start deceased donor organ harvesting and transplantation in Puducherry. The

first deceased (cadaver) donor organ harvesting and transplantation in Puducherry was

performed on 5th December 2013 at JIPMER. Since then, 19 families have come forward to

voluntarily donate organs of brain dead patients at JIPMER. So far 38 patients have received

kidneys from brain dead donors at JIPMER and 38 patients with blindness have received

corneal transplants from brain dead donors at JIPMER.

                  From January to November 2015, organs and tissues were harvested from 10 brain

dead donors at JIPMER. JIPMER is organizing a function to mark the second anniversary of

Deceased Donor Transplantation Program at JIPMER and to honor the families who came

forward to donate organs of brain dead patients at JIPMER as well as the deceased donor

transplantation team members.

                   JIPMER is providing transplantation operation free of cost to patients.

As of now, 40 patients are waiting for kidney transplantation, 17 Patients for eye

transplantation and 10 patients for bone marrow transplantation at JIPMER.

JIPMER provides option for pledging your organs for transplantation after death; this

can be done online on JIPMER website at: http://jipmer.edu.in/departments/advanced-

centers/transplantation-services/ . Those who are pledging their organs are being issued a

‘Donor Card’ by JIPMER.

                    Since this service was launched in March 2015, 40 individuals have pledged their

organs have been issued donor cards from JIPMER.

                    JIPMER also coordinated with the government of Puducherry, Pondicherry Institute of

Medical Sciences (PIMS) and the Transplantation Authority of Tamil Nadu (TRANSTAN)

in sharing of organs. A liver harvested from a brain dead donor at JIPMER was transplanted

in a patient at Madurai and Heart valves were sent to Chennai. A kidney donated by a brain

dead donor in PIMS was shared with JIPMER where it was transplanted to a patient with

kidney failure.

The JIPMER Deceased Donor Transplantation Committee (JDDTC) supervise the

deceased donor program at JIPMER.

Current status of Transplantation operations at JIPMER:

Corneal transplantation:

JIPMER is having an eye bank and has been performing eye (cornea) transplants since

the year 1997. So far 510 corneal transplantation were performed. In the last two years 74

has been performed at JIPMER since inception of deceased donor program.

Kidney Transplantation:

The kidney transplantation program at JIPMER was started in March 2012 and so far

77 kidney transplantation operations has been performed at JIPMER.

Bone marrow transplantation:

The bone marrow transplantation program at JIPMER was started in 2014.

JIPMER is the only hospital offering bone marrow transplantation services in Puducherry

and the only government institution offering the treatment in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Bone marrow transplantation is being offered free of cost and under the Tamil Nadu Chief

Minister’s health insurance scheme at JIPMER.

Autologous bone marrow transplantation: 36

Allogenic bone marrow transplantation: 06

Ten patients are waiting for bone marrow transplantation at JIPMER at present.

Under the leadership of Dr. S.C. Parija, Director, JIPMER, JIPMER has developed

24X7 Help line in Casualty for patients requiring Emergency Tele-Consultations. He said

that a team of Senior and Junior Doctor is given a Smartphone to attend any telephonic

call of a patient requiring emergency consultation. Doctor on duty will guide the patient

telephonically for immediate First Aid possible at the patient end to relive the distress of

the patient. If patient’s distress is relived then patient may be asked to come next day in

the concerned outpatient department advised by the Casualty Doctor. In case the distress

is not relieved, then patient is asked to come to the casualty of JIPMER as soon as

possible. Casualty Doctor will guide the patient mode of transportation, where to report

in the casualty of JIPMER, what all formalities will be done in JIPMER, whether old

records to be brought or not etc. In case of distance being very far from JIPMER Casualty

then Casualty Doctor may guide patient where to and which hospital to go nearby his/her

residence. Casualty Doctor on duty will record patient details including Name, Age,

Gender, Address, Contact Telephone Number, Ration care Number, Aadhaar Card

Number, PAN number and whatever relevant possible details available with patient.

He also added that those patients who have internet connection available in their

Mobile, Tablet, Laptop or Desktop, they can talk to JIPMER Casualty Doctor On Duty

by using Free Skype Software downloaded in their system. To call JIPMER through

skype Service the ID is “Casualty Desktop Telemedicine JIPMER” or “Casualty

Mobile Telemedicine JIPMER”. Using this Skype Services patient can see the JIPMER

Doctor and can talk to the doctor Live. Patient can show his/her injuries to the Casualty

Doctor to get the advice. JIPMER strictly advices that General Enquiry will not be

entertained as this will be a hotline for emergency purpose only.
